I went to OBVR back in July and never got around to posting....

Hope you enjoy this trip from the past and here is a link in case you want to read more about it!!

https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEVj2TZohZqWoAUD4nnIlQ;_ylu=X3oDMTByNXQ0NThjBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwM1BHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzcg--/RV=2/RE=1502140180/RO=10/RU=https%3a%2f%2fen.wikipedia.org%2fwiki%2fOld_Bethpage_Village_Restoration/RK=1/RS=XJxlYZjn6kv6OfAn_aUB_DuLYxw-

All the houses in this village are historic and were brought from other parts of the country. This school house was from District No.6 - built in 1845 from Manhassett, NY

It was wonderful to walk back in time and see how things were done without the help of all the high tech equipment we have now, so I'll try to break this series down by sections...

hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane!!

Very enlightening series. It lets you appreciate what we have today and maybe envy the simplicity of an earlier time, too.

A wonderful beginning to another interesting arm chair adventure with my buddy, Angela. I always look forward to these and enjoy every one of them. I hope you and David didn't need to stand in line very long for the single seater rest room. Well done as always.

LOL... first let me clear the air, I went with a photo friend and not David, on one of the hottest days of summer... and no, we didn't have to wait on line to get any splinters on our butts from those outhouses!! LOL...
Glad you enjoyed this set, John and I'm happy that you're going to follow along from the comfort of your home!! fyi: there were outhouses with four holes!!! But they told us still only one went in at a time and when one hole was full, they'd slide over to the next!! Can you imagine!!!! lol!!
Enjoy the day, my friend!!

That's the story they told you, Angela, but I can picture four old geezers like me in there all at the same time reading the newspaper and shooting the breeze. No old guy can pass up a four seater. 😄😄
