Fabulous set of images, and I can see why #7 is your favorite. I have never been on that road, but have driven Hwy 550 from Durango up to Ouray. A very memorable experience.

Thanks Tom, glad to see you stop by and enjoy this series. This trip we took Hwy. 550 once again from Montrose to Silverton and then County Rd. 2 up to Animas Forks. My wife does not look forward to this part of the trip...hates the steep hair-pin curves!
