Most visitors to Boston and indeed, many Boston area residents , don’t know about the tremendous amenity provided by the Boston Harborwalk. The Harborwalk is a walking / bike path that follows the Boston waterfront for nearly 40 miles of its planned 47 mile route and provides spectacular views of the Boston skyline and the Boston Harbor National Park.

The weather in Boston was perfect today – mid 70’s with a nice ocean breeze. My beloved wanted to go for a walk and I wanted to test my new 28mm prime lens so we headed down to the section of the Harborwalk behind the JFK Presidential Library. Some of the shots were taken a couple of months ago at the Courthouse and Fort Point Channel sections of the Harborwalk.

Hope somebody enjoys these as much as I enjoyed taking them, but better to come and enjoy for yourself.

I don't give many complements, but your first images is very good! Enjoy your new lens.

I particularly like the first photograph, the night shot.
Nicely composed and taken.

Excellent series and great captures with the new lens and Sony combo. We were in Boston two summers ago and did the walk. I took a shot of the Hood milk bottle too...Boston is a great city to visit and photograph being in the midst of America's birthplace.

Thanks SpyderJan.
The night shot was with my Sony A6000, Rokinon 12mm f2.0 with Breakthrough Technology X2 ND 3-stop filter, 30 seconds, ISO 100. I think I used f5.6 or f8.
Post was mostly basic adjustments in ACR followed by Nix Define and Detail Extractor. I did some perspective correction to straighten the towers on the right.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks for all of the nice compliments folks. I think I next purchase will be a monitor calibrator. The last several pictures seem much darker on upload than I expected. Thanks for the responses.

Unfortunately we do - for the tourists. Real Bostonians only drink Dunkin Donuts. If I have to go to a Starbucks, I'll stare up at the menuboard holding up the line for a couple of minutes and then ask 'What's the nearest you have to a Dunkin Donuts regular?"
