I never let my cards get anywhere near full. It probably doesn't matter, but I don't want to cram all that I can onto a card. The largest card I use is 8GB.

I have the 16 and 32 gig storage cards. I get mine from a site I joined long ago and subscribe to as a member.

I believe my buddy doesn't go larger than 8Gb either . . . he also transfers keeper to CDs. Nothing worse than a back-up external hard drive crashing and not being backed-up.

btw: After downloading nearly 30,000 songs from the local library on a 'back-up' external hard drive it crashed in less than a month. All my call to the manufacturer got me was their question 'You do have all that backed-up, right?' Uhm, no.

I have three external backup drives now. The trick is remembering to do the backups. After trying Acronis and Genie, I settled on the free SyncToy. Works great.

Yeah I am with a lot of you here. Right now I have 4 8gb cards and I plan to take them on vacation with me and then back them up every night. My preferred brand is SanDisk, but I have had a couple of Kodak brand in the past with my old p&s cameras and they still work well. I have been extremely lucky so far to have not had anything happen to a card (knock on wood). I would hope that things would be fine with a 32gb card, but I don't want to lose all that space or pics that might have been on it if it fails. Of couse that's also one reason to buy the better name brands and not the little cheapies off ebay. I know all cards can fail, but I feel safer knowing I have a card from a company that will give me a lifetime warranty on them.

Has anybody tried the Class 10 HP cards? I ordered one and am just wondering.
HP should be a good company. It is not here yet. Usually I use SanDisk.

I didn't realize HP made cards. I have been so used to just buying SanDisk that I haven't really looked at much else out there besides the Transcend ones that I have seen on ebay. Let us know how it works DK.
