I have owned my two Olympus Cameras for several years, but only today have I have discovered how to change the photo prefix name.
Instead of Pxxxxxxx345jpg I now have the camera model as the prefix eg: EM100000345jpg and EPL5000345.
So now I can tell which camera took which photograph, this a great help when editing or viewing the images.
You're never too late to learn!!

Always exciting to learn new things. Betcha there are other things you don't know you can do with your camera(s)!
When I have nothing more exciting to do, I will sometimes sit on the couch, camera beside my, manual in hand. Just flipping through the manual, randomly, till I see something that seems interesting.
Read it, try it out. Sometimes I'll never use the newly discovered feature, sometimes it will become an often used feature.
Also, if/when I hear about a feature, I'll check the manual to see if I can do that, and if so, if it's something I'll use.

For me, the camera file name means nothing and is changed on import into Lightroom, the EXIF data for every shot contains the camera brand, model, serial number and what lens was used, along with what length and the 35mm equivilant anyway, so easy and fast to sort or search by the metadata.
I even add the lens serial number using lenstagger, a plugin for Lightroom

I find that very handy with my Nikons.
For my Canon bodies I use 7D1_, 7D2_, 5d2_ and 5D3_ for my 7D mark I, 7D mark 2, 5D mark 2 and 5D mark 3 cameras. Since all 4 bodies are still in use it's handy not to have to going into LR or PS to see which camera shot the photos on the card.
