Sigma is not JUST a lens company. They have also made cameras such as the SA300 And SA500 in film SLRs, The digital SD 1,9,10,14 and 15. They use their own Sigma mount on their cameras. They also make the Sigma Quattro and Sigma Merrill Quattro. All are quality devices.
I am offering here the SD14 (14.1 Mp) which shoots normal spectrum and is user convertible to InfraRed with the simple removal of a protective filter over the Sensor (separate) which also serves as the IR CUT filter. Normal and IR in one camera. No Expensive IR conversion that permanently changes the camera. The IR conversion is reversible.
This camera is in great condition. Sigma chooses using a Foveon Sensor. The camera was a quite expensive DSLR ten years ago. Sigma Also allowed user to remove the IR Cut filter used as a sensor protector, and shoot various IR spectrum wave lengths. The original software has special infrared post processing features. The Sigma brand camera and 28-300 Zoom Lens are in very good shape and operate as originally intended. The lens has AF/MF switch and a Zoom Lock (creep) switch.
Changing the camera to use as InfraRed is easy. There are a number of YouTube video and other sites that describe how to change to InfraRed and back. The Sigma Software has Post Processing dedicated to InfraRed and you can use various filters on your lenses for shooting various wave lengths in the IR spectrum. Cambridge in Color site has an extensive section devoted to how to use this camera in InfraRed.
NO EXPENSIVE IR CONVERSION.... DO IT YOURSELF WITH THE SIMPLE REMOVAL OF THE IR CUT FILTER, WHICH IS INSTALLED AS A REMOVABLE SENSOR PROTECTOR.
