I was just playing with my new Nikon D810 the other day. This is my first 9 shot HDR right outside my office door.

Thats pretty neat! I've been there a few times, don't remember it looking that good!
On a personal preference, I'd tone down that blue sky - a bit too much blue, and maybe get rid of the power wire on the first light.
Just my 2cents. But I really like the picture!

Love it. I am partial to photos of arches and this is an excellent one.

Thanks you. I'm new at photography, and will try to figure out the color saturation in Lightroom or Photoshop. I used Photomatrix to combine them, but haven't done any other edits.

I like it a lot, but that is a shot that demands the lines be true vertical. If I was post processing, I would use the manual vertical transform feature in ACR to fix the slight column tilt to the center.

I just realized you are new to UHH, and apparently to post processing.

First, welcome. Lots of people here that share great advice.

ACR is Adobe Camera Raw which is a Photoshop plugin that allows you to process both raw files and jpegs. It is effectively the same as Lightroom. I try to do as much processing in ACR as I can before using PS.

Thank you Dave, I will check our ACR.

Very nice. I would tone down the sky. Your image seems a little tilted. (I see now that that has already been mentioned). I do like the photo, though.

Personally, you edit is much more appealing. Welcome to the forum!

Yes. But I think you de-saturated a little too much. I like the stronger yellows because it makes it seem to be the Golden Hour. I pulled your jpeg into ACR and used the HueSaturationLuminence (HSL) sliders to tone down the blue but not the yellow.

Lots of ways to tune...and lots of opinions. Just mine.

HI Chris and welcome. Nice shot! I spent a lot of time there on those same grounds back in the 70s and 80s. Went to Boot Camp there then had my "A" School there. When I was assigned a ship, it was based out of San Diego. Spent another 5 years there. I really love San Diego. I was really shocked when the Navy shut down both San Diego and Orlando's Naval Training Centers and went with North Chicago's Great Lakes Naval Center. I guess because it was central in the U.S. I visit SD as often as I can because I still love it. Cheers.

Nice shot, Chris! The sunlight makes interesting patterns.
