how the worm turns. the NFL is making a big deal on making efforts to aid players with cte. to think that just a few short years ago, they tried to deny it's existence and crucify the doctor that brought it to light.

Sounds a lot like our government denying agent orange had ill affects on our troops in Vietnam. Only difference is the NFL knows how to make money---lots of it. Our government----what is our national debt now?

110 out of 111 ex NFL players were positive. I'm glad my grandson plays other sports (of course I'm not sure heading that soccer ball is much better)

Poor college graduates, NFL player don't know they can get hurt that's what bothers me. Plenty of movie jobs after wards playing the living dead. Is it the game or the millions they make. Are you ready for some football..............
All about the money boys....

There is a big investigation going on over here into the damage heading the ball in soccer does. It was started by a premier league player Jeff Astle who suffered and eventually died with brain damage. Jeff was noted for his heading ability but played with the heavier leather balls not the lightweight balls used now. Just something to be aware of.

Worried more about the high school kids. Hope the parents wake up to this nightmare.

I did not know what you were talking about. So here it is:
Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is the term used to describe brain degeneration likely caused by repeated head traumas. CTE is a diagnosis only made at autopsy by studying sections of the brain. CTE is a very rare condition.

They will lie until forced to admit and do something about it. What else in new in America?

Yeah, like that's unique to America. All other countries are paragons of truth and transparency.

You don't say. You might want to explain that to wildwolfowner who says it's only in America.
