I have a Manfrotto #138 leveling head with a broken level bubble. I have ordered a replacement from Manfrotto but have no idea how to do the replacement. Any help would be welcomed.

Post some detailed photos, and someone will be able to tell you how to do it. The new part might even come with an instruction sheet.
Remove the old (broken) spirit level, With the tri-pod firmly on a any surface use a second level to make sure that the mounting (camera) surface is level, install the new level with an epoxy. I have heard that people now use super glue insted of epoxy.
Part arrived yesterday and repair is done. I removed the old spirit level with an awl and lightly tapping with a small hammer. The level is made of plastic so it came out in pieces. The level is press fit into the base no glue was used, so I tapped the new part in place using a hammer and a block of wood. The new level seated into the hole.
