Has anybody here ever photographed the lighthouses on the St. Lawrence Seaway in upstate NY? I have meeting Albany NY next week and I am going to drive along the St Lawrence and try to get some lighthouse photography in on the way and was wondering if anybody here had any experience up there and could share their knowledge.

I have photographed over 80 lighthouses around the country, but none in that area.,,,some in Nova Scotia, great lakes and PEI. If you want information I highly recommend the web site http://www.lighthousefriends.com/ . I use that web site any time I travel near likely lighthouse sites. another great source is the US lighthouse society at http://www.uslhs.org to which I am a member.

Although I haven't photographed lighthouses on the Seaway, I am pretty familiar with the area.

I found a couple of sites relating to Seaway lighthouses which may help you.
Note that some of the lighthouses featured on these sites may be off the Seaway and into Lake Ontario.

Thanks guys, I use lighthouse friends for most of my lighthouse research and this trip has some pretty severe time restrictions so I am hoping to hit about 4 or 5 lighthouses before I have to be in Albany.

There is one on the Hudson, at the intersection of the Espous Creek in Kingston, NY. If you take a boat ride about an hour south, there is another in the middle of the Hudson.
