I get so frustrated sometimes. Driving home from Wolfeboro I noticed ( in the rain ) what appeared to be two vultures on some rocks 30' from shore on a small road. I had a car right behind me so I couldn't stop quickly and had to drive up the road and turn around in someones driveway. By the time I was able to safely pull over One Eagle ( they were Eagles) was already gone. I was able to first take a photo out the car window , then out of the car to grab a few more photos before an Eastern Kingbird chased him away.

I got a few more photos ..but if you look their is one of the kingbird above the Eagle; but Eagle's head behind his wing.... I remember thinking that my clarity was off and tried to refocus. If only I had snapped continually or a split second before or after , it would have been a good shot.

I am happy with the ones here that came out in the rainy and dreary weather ...but DAM IT lol

so upset with myself -spit second before or after would have made a nice shot

If you were using BBF and continues focus you could have a few more after this shot , but before the first shot taken it would have been
Harder to have caught something that is already history,

You are correct IBM .... I don't see Eagles that often ; especially two together. Really great to see; even in the rain!

Good effort, Heidi. Seeing photo opportunities when you're driving and can't stop is the story of my life.

Ok so we all need a button to push "stopping everything in action" but us ..for at least five minutes

Nice ones,Heidi and know where you are coming from-- I had just gone outside and was setting in the swing a few days ago when a eagle landed on the end of our pier, so sneaked back into the house and retrieved the camera and put the long 600m lens on and managed to make it back outside and was able to get a few shots as it prepared to fly, but images were not very good as I was about 190 feet away, but did have several of it standing on the deck and one as it lifted off, but sure wished that I could have cut the distance in half. Oh well, it was still fun and the first one that I have ever seen land on the pier! Take care!
