Going through my files, I came across these. These make me want to go out with the Sweet 50 and the Soft Focus soon.

All beauties, Cathy... I love the soft pinks of the Sweet 50, it really creates a very sweet image... and since I don't have the Soft Focus and apparently impossible to find, I love the results you captured from that optic!! Bright and beautiful colors on both and lovely bokeh!!

Make sure you take those babies for a walk!!

Thank you so much, Angela, for the wonderful compliment! I haven't stopped looking for a soft focus, haven't given up. There was one on eBay which included wide angle and telephoto lenses which you already have, but the special soft focus apertures weren't included, in fact, no apertures at all. So, I'll keep my eyes open. One with the apertures is bound to show up one of these days.

All beauties, Cathy! Love the colors and of course the blur. The Soft Focus optic seem to do an awesome job, and I can't wait to get mine. Should be here tomorrow. I'm keeping an eye out for one for Angela. I check all of my "sources" every day. Hopefully, we'll find one soon.

I was just perusing eBay and found these:

The step-up shade can act as a hood on our 37mm optics and will enable a 52mm filter to be used.

This is an outstanding deal on the creative apertures.

Yep! We'll find one... just a matter of time.

Thank you for the lovely comment, Jane. I look forward to your soft focus pics.

I have one, but have used it once as a lens hood. I usually go out in the late afternoon/early evening shooting in the shade, so haven't needed it. However, the important thing for me is the ability to use it as a stepup ring for a 52mm CPL when shooting landscapes. Being a sole-caregiver limits my ability to go anywhere to shoot landscapes except for my walks around the block, and you've seen the limited area I can get to at this time. For sure, when this is over, I will be using it a lot, especially when shooting scenes with water in them. For me, it's so inexpensive that having it on hand is no problem.

About those creative apertures, I forget I have them! I'm going to have to make a mental note to use them when out taking pictures on sunny days.

I'm always amazed how we can sometimes find the best subjects in the most unexpected places.

I absolutely love the way you used the lens to focus in on the detail that caught your eye, and beautifully blurred the rest in that first shot.
