After spending a night in New Orleans, we drove on to Pensacola, FL. After checking in at the hotel, we headed out to Pensacola Beach, a distance of just over 9 miles. And we were definitely not alone! The traffic was almost like Houston rush hour traffic, but we finally made it to the beach. An unexpected treat during our drive was seeing the Navy Blue Angels practicing for an upcoming airshow. We could only watch from the moving car, but it was still an amazing show of precision flying. There were not too many good photo ops at the beach, but I was determined to shoot at least a few during our 5 hour stay. So I am posting only 5 images. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.

#4 As we were leaving just before sunset, I noticed these interesting shadow patterns in the sand.

#5 The setting sun over Pensacola Bay, shot from the moving car. While my wife was driving, I was shooting.

Tom, very enjoyable set, with my favorite being the first with the beautiful white sand, blue sky and those little pops of color from the umbrellas, also the last shot, a spectacular gift from the heavens!!
Looks beautiful there and I'm sure you had a wonderful time!!

Thank you kindly Angela for taking a look and for your gracious comments. I'm glad you enjoyed this set. Yes, we did have a great time and came back with only minimal sunburn.
Your sunset is different in that the sky looks almost green. Could be due to shooting through glass but I found it intriguing anyway.

Enjoyed the set very much Tom, beautiful blue sky and clouds in #1, lovely scene. Especially like the setting sun.

Thank you very much for taking a look and commenting. Yes, I also noticed a slight greenish tint in that one, and I believe it was caused by shooting through the car's closed window.
