St.Michaels Mount Evening

From Cornwall back in May last year. A really lovely evening stroll along the beach and across to the island, where the causeway is accessible during low tide. At high tide there are small ferries. We saw people get their feet wet on a morning visit during our stay, it must happen most days in the season. Tried to be gentle with the pp, but you know me!

FYC - tell it how it is, I don't mind and do appreciate your help.

Nicely done Dave, I can only say the schooner seems a lot sharper than the rest of the image......

The soft edges of a wide angle are showing it up Frank, I'll try a filter on it - thanks for raising the point.

Is that a pirate ship? Don't those people on the causeway know the danger they're in . Is that me letting my imagination get carried away? It must be the image .

Well I caught it just as filming had finished for the day so I'm not sure whether it was pirates or just a period drama (not at St.Michael's, but a little further along the coast).
I'd never seen her out of port before, so was very pleased with myself!

already could be in a fantasy book. Good material for your other efforts and as an image it Absolutely stands on it's own. Could be a good image to try different cloudscapes to see how they impact the image, though the current cotton candy feel is wonderful for this.

Thanks Dave - it's one of those places that's been photographed to death, but still makes a worthwhile shot. Must admit I took loads.

I do have some ideas coming together for the shots I took here Piet but won't be doing much for a week or two now as we have family visiting - most frustrating! Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll be trying some different skies eventually.
