A single Hibiscus flower on the back deck. They flower for about a day and die and fall off at night. In the morning, a new flower appears. This flower is about 5" (8 cm) in diameter.

We have a Hibiscus plant. Yes, the flowers are beautiful, but we have to cut the plant back every year because it grows so high and fast. It's planted in the center of the house front. By the end of summer it will be pushing up against the peak of the eaves.
