Last week was in Danli, Honduras (about 2 hr drive SE of capital Tegucigalpa) on a mission trip. The place we stayed at was home to a Cinnamon Hummingbird and I was on the lookout for it by this beautiful red flower (type?).
Excellent set. Especially #1.
I agree with kpmac excellent captures. I was wondering what camera and lens along with your settings?
The flower looks like some type of ginger. I imagine ginger would grow well down there.
Nice photos...

Thanks for asking, Dennis. I used a Canon T3 w/55-250mm zoom. The tree shot settings: ISO 1600, -.33ev, f5.6, 1/1600 sec @187mm. The flower shots: ISO 800, -.33ev, f5.6, 1/1600 sec @179mm. All images were cropped and minimal PP using Apple Photos.

I bet you're right - I know they grow commercial ginger down there.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks so much, Islandgal. I waited for the hummingbird to come to the flower. He just showed up on the tree and stayed there a few moments and posed.
