We recently took a mini-vacation, spending one night in New Orleans and then on to Pensacola, FL for another night. My wife's daughter and her family had planned this trip for some time, and they invited us pretty much at the last minute. Even though we drove in separate cars, we were able to stay together on the road. So I am posting 8 images from New Orleans now, with some from Pensacola to follow soon. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.
#1 Just liked the lines and angles in this N.O. office building

#3 My wife in front of 1 of the streetcars that run up and down St Charles St. The car was at the end of the line so she was in no danger.

#4 A view from inside the streetcar. They are old and noisy but fun to ride.

#8 Early evening on Bourbon Street. My 2 step grandsons were with us, so we moved on before it got too crazy.

Thank you for taking a look and commenting Dan. You are certainly right about photo ops in N.O. but we only had about half a day there.
Great shots Tom and thanks for the tour.
Very nice series. You caught some interesting details that give a flavor of the city.

Nice series. Good job getting your kids off Bourbon St. before the "action" started.

Thank you very much for taking a look and commenting. Yes, we have seen some of the Bourbon St. "action" and we knew that it was not for the younger set.

Angela, thank you for looking in and commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed my mini-tour of N.O. Wished we could have had more time, but my wife's daughter and family had already made their plans.
