Hi, I'm in the market for a new monitor, going to be used for general use and photo editing. The one I'm looking at is the ASUS PA248Q 24" ProArt Professional 1920x1200 IPS HDMI Eye Care. Does anyone use this monitor? I'm just looking for some honest feedback.

Thanks
Tom

My wife uses a 24" ASUS IPS monitor and it works great for photo processing...1920x1200.

There are a number of detailed user reviews on the B&H Photo website.

I got the 27" Dell. That's a good size.

SE2717HX, under $200.

Check out Dell's series for doing photo editing. They come fully calibrated and ready to go. I have the U2515H model but they come in larger sizes too.

Photography Life has an article on best monitors for photography. I think it came out yesterday.

Guys, the OP is interested in feedback on a particular monitor. Although I have a 27"Asus it is not the model mentioned by the OP and I have no experience with the one at issue. Why do you insist on responding to questions not asked?

Read the message again! The OP said he's "looking at" not necessarily buying the _____; other options that others here have and like may help him to make his choice!

You look again. OP asks, "Does anyone use this monitor". Come on. Learn to read with comprehension.

I've been using this monitor for over a year and it is an excellent choice for your intended use. I use it in conjunction with a Spyder 5 calibration. I generally calibrate about once a month and the before and after image from one month to the next seldom varies ( if at all) it is a stable unit.

I don't know about the OP, but I sure appreciate your post.

Tom...
This has nothing to do with what monitor you finally settle on, but also look into the Spider 5 Pro.
I think that you will get more out of your monitor adding that.
Just a suggestion.

Yes, it is a fine line. The OP wants advice on what monitor to buy, with emphasis on one particular model. With so many different brands and models, it would be lucky to find several people who have the exact one he is asking about.
