And you're obviously a Republican v**er. A total contradiction to to the ideals of the working class.
Conservatives looks after the haves of this world, so they can HAVE more.
Traditionally the workers are looked after, by their unions, & democratic socialist government ideals.
You can't have a foot in both camps. Call your self a worker? Brainwashed by the snake oil salesman, Trump.
I consider myself to be a third generation working class based on income, although I'm in what is considered a white collar profession, working in the accounting field.
My Grandparents were Farmers, my Father was a Methods Engineer, my Mother was a homemaker for years. Then she worked a string of part time jobs once my younger brother started school so that she could provide us with some of those extra activities such as inexpensive vacations or sports, that the affluent consider a necessity today.
To me, working class individuals HAVE to work in order to survive, provide shelter, food, and clothing for themselves and their families. The working class doesn't have the luxury of living off of trust funds or family fortunes.

It is insane that working class v**ers support the Republican Party; but many do.

Sorry to politicise a fair question.
Yes, I proudly attest to being working class. I've been a mechanic most of my working life, Started on motor cars, expanded into heavy duty machinery, experienced a 10 year term as service manager, then self employment for 15 years. Glad to retire with a couple of hundred grand, nest egg, own my own house, no debts.
Not rich, not dirt poor, but had a great career, met some magic people, & a few dickheads
I live comfortably on our pension, & have no guilty conscience.

Do you think that after Hillary refered to them as:
" THE BASKET OF DEPLORABLES" ...
they finally figured out what the Democrat "Elites" really think of them ?LOL

What is middle class? At what income level does one rise to upper class. How do you define working class. I was lucky as well as qualified to work in an above average paying field. But I still had to work to pay the bills. Income levels vary considerably throughout the country. Some one earning 75 grand in Alabama is doing quite well, whereas that same income in San Francisco or Manhattan won't get you a 1 bedroom studio apt.

This is one weird post. To start with, what the hell is "plithe?" 2nd, why is it that people think the working class is only made up of people who have lower paying jobs. Do people who have higher salaries not work too? 3rd, for all the bragging that I hear by people that they are not rich, but work hard for middle-class incomes, do you realize that people making at least $32,400.00 per year in this country are considered the upper 1% of wage earners World-wide? God Dammit, you are rich! Act like it.
