Thanks kpmac. Since I didn't have an ND filter with me, this was a series of 8 images shot on a Nikon D750 at -1 Ev under 100 ISO, 1/50 second, f22. In Photoshop using the script command, I loaded the images into a stack, and then under smart objects I selected stack mode - mean. This is a way that you can approximate the effect of a slower exposure.
