The Office of Naval Intelligence in Washington has not released this official U.S. Navy photograph of what appears to be a fairy dust attack on a flotilla of Nanookian battleships somewhere off the coast of the United States (the exact location has been censored). The Navy itself has refused to comment, saying only that the unidentified broom-flying figure is, well, unidentified. The ships appear undamaged, and so far, there are no reports of casualties. An anonymous ONI analyst we contacted said that "...the ships are clearly forming a battle line in preparation for firing their main guns, and the target appears to be the island home of the Ministry of Mayhem..."
ONI says an unidentified submarine has also been detected in those same waters, and although it does not appear to pose a direct threat to the United States, the Navy is monitoring the situation closely.

Very nice but I'm a little confused. Is she protecting our ships or is she protecting the Ministry of Mayhem?....Rich

It will be interesting to see once the dust has settled what the effect has been, maybe Madame P. will have a second attempt to blow them out of the water! I have every confidence she will succeed, 'new brooms sweep clean'.
Fascinating picture Randy, love it, excellent work and imagination.

Thanks for looking in, Rich. First, these are NOT our ships. They belong to (well, they leased them...) that terrorist organization, Nanook of the North. One never quite knows what's going on in the heat of battle or in the mind of a wicked witch, but it would appear from the photo that Madame P is sprinkling fairy dust on the Nanookian warships, for reasons we do not yet fully understand. Whether the fairy dust will protect them from any Ministry of Mayhem retaliatory strike, or perhaps disable them before they can fire on the Ministry remains unclear.
I guess we'll have to wait and see...
Thanks as always for stopping by and your comments, most appreciated!

Thanks, Sylvia. The tension mounts, lol! What will the fairy dust do to those ships? Dark Ladies are of course forbidden to kill or injure (even Nanookians!), so we know the fairy dust won't hurt them. But she obviously has some expectation it will do something, or she wouldn't bother to use it. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Glad you enjoyed this one, hope it brought a smile, and thanks as always for your kind comments and visit, much appreciated!
You see Warships, I see targets

Lol, as does our broom-flying figure! Great, powerful gun platforms, now mostly museum relics. Too vulnerable, as you say. And I'm afraid the Nanookians are about to find that out...
Thanks for visiting and your accurate comment, it's much appreciated!
The plot thickens as the mistress of the magical broom launches an attack against impossible odds. Will she succeed? Can she survive? Tune in next week to see.
No wonder Madame P. is so tired, Randy. You have her taking on the world before she even has breakfast.

Thanks for the exploitation. At my age it can be easy to get confused....Rich
I bet this is driving our Navy nuts trying to figure out what is going on. I don't know how you did this picture but it is priceless. One of the best.

....I'm hoping that the fairy dust will induce a deep sleep for the Nanookian crews and they'll run aground.
Meanwhile, up here we got news that Dark Lady Kimberly is delayed at customs because her flight plan didn't mention going into Canadian airspace.
We're on Red Alert up here and the fishermen are staying close to shore. So much for my much anticipated fish fry dinner tonight....

Thanks, John. We're all on pins and needles, awaiting Madame P's return. As far as we can see thru our sub's periscope, it appears her attack was fruitless, as the battleships appear unharmed and are preparing their own attack on the Ministry.
We'll have to surface to get Madame P back aboard, and everyone is grim-faced and silent, knowing full well we may have no home when we return to what's left of the Ministry.
But at least we're well stocked and can give her a good breakfast when she gets back aboard, so not to worry on that account. ; )
Thanks for your kind comments and visit, always appreciated!

Thanks, Pierre. The unidentified sub is of course ours, waiting for Madame P to return. We'll have to surface to bring her back aboard, and hopefully the Nanookians will be so busy shelling the Ministry that they won't see us. A shame her attack appears to have failed, but I'm sure she did her best.
I hope you'll say a prayer for the Ministry, and who knows, we may come knocking at your door, looking for a new home!
Thanks for stopping by and joining the fun. Always much appreciated!

My fault entirely, I should have put Nanookian battle flags on those ships, lol!
