***Wanted to Buy---Genuine Nikon Grip Set for D300***

I am restoring a Nikon D300 which I received in a local trade. Thanks to help from members of this board (and a little from others), I have been able to gather all of the necessary functional parts for the restoration. I have completed the portions of the work that I can do, and have found a qualified repair shop to do that part of the job which is beyond what I am willing to tackle.

So the only thing remaining is to locate and purchase a set of genuine Nikon D300 grips, since they will need to be replaced after the body is reassembled. I am aware of several sources of aftermarket grip kits, but research reveals that those are almost always problematic to apply, mostly due to deficiencies in the double-sided tape which is generally supplied.

My hope is that someone on this board has a set of genuine Nikon grips that they are willing to sell stashed away somewhere (but where you can still find them). If a full set is not available, I need at least the left front and right front grips.

Thanks for reading, and please reply via PM if you have grips that you are willing to sell.

Larry

Note to those who reply: I am very appreciative for the references to 3rd party grips. I'll likely check them out for a "Plan B." But the purpose of this post is to find and purchase a set of Nikon OEM grips. I'll leave it open until I find a set. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you have a specific link on Ebay? A large number of options come up, some shipped from China. I know that some of them are not good.

Hello Larry:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NIKON-D300-4-PIECE-FRONT-REAR-GRIP-RUBBER-SET-NEW-REPAIR-PARTS-OEM-Tape-/371619437493

Not "cheap" - of course then define: "Cheap" = Not expensive..

Maybe these are what you might be looking for..?

Hope it helps...?

Have a nice day -

Thanks Ed.

This listing did not appear when I searched DH's offerings. I may give them a shot. Their eBay store gets good reviews, but their listing with the Chicago BBB is not very good...only about 65% positive.

The shop that I have lined up to do the work will only do so if I can supply them with OEM grips. They say they have been burned too many times trying to install the 3rd part ones.

I am going to leave this listing active until I receive the parts from DH and everything gets done. If I end up with a second set from a member of the board, that will be fine.
