I just called Admin a jerk for moving one of my posts. He may not take that too well. So, just in case he suspends, bans or otherwise cancels my membership, it has been a pleasure being associated with a fine group of people, including those with whom I have occasionally disagreed. I will still follow the posts, but, if I am banned, will not be able to post a response. Thank you, everyone, for a great experience.

Hopefully it does not come to that. Mine get moved all the time and it seldom makes real sense or even if it does it defeats the purpose of the post. Not sure how they (he, she) take to direct criticism, sarcasm or defiance.

I doubt that will happen, I certainly hope it doesn't. The rules are somewhat arcane and inconsistent, so a 'mild' offense like that shouldn't be a problem. If it is, a bunch of us will be with you.

If this is the first time the administrator has heard some harsh words, he must not be doing much administrating. Hopefully he really will not take it personally.

I've done worse...and I'm still here. Not quite sure what it takes to get banned.

Admin is actually very astute. Also has a thick skin.

When you eventually realize what Admin does... it really is the right thing.

Although the expression "right thing" begs the question "right by which rules" and what are the rules, especially when there are 50 shades of grey, or at least a few zones...

But where did he move it to BHC, so that we may see it? There must have been
some reason to move...ah, could it be...there was some rule peculiar to the main section
where you would have to introduce a topic but not post a picture in the topic post, but rather
in a second one.
Seems cumbersome maybe, but think it had something to do with trying to keep topics in
the main section first, with any pictures as illustrations of a topic being secondary, so they tend to
get moved to in one of the pictures sections such as the Gallery.

Just follow BHC's posts recently. I can see why a certain post may have been moved, which seems to be consistent with UHH's somewhat inconsistent policies. Not a banning offense, I think I have done worse....

Admin is very consistent. The shades of gray you refer to are personal problems that others have following rules, usually caused by poor reading skills and not paying attention to detail.

He owns the football - we play be his rules - what ever they are.

If I wanted a photography forum that always followed my rules, I guess I would start my own forum.

I think the Administrator has done an amazing job of remaining essentially invisible

Yes, invisible,as many people don't read rules, just as many as don't read directions or the manual
Then of course there are those who scoff at rules as barriers to their own purposes.

However, for those who speak of shades of gray, yes, and they all go on behind the scenes. There are
some very bad problems in communications and other areas, which are not dealt with, and may never
be where freedom to recognize or discuss them is denied.

People certainly can, and do, discuss them on UHH!
