B&H is outstanding in every way.I will never consider anyone else for my photo needs.

Glad you think they are outstanding.
I made an inquiry with them for a purchase of a piece of equipment and they completely ignored me.
Gave up in the end.

Kudos to B&H. Made a mistake in placing my order last month but they were kind enough to send me the extras at no additional cost and free shipping.

This isn't the first time that B&H has gone above and beyond for me on some issue. The latest, I ordered a Formatt Firecrest 100mm filter holder. It has a circular adapter with a lip that fits into your lens' front threads. The kit came with 82mm, 77mm, 72, and 67mm adapters. These adapters also hold a thin CPL on the front, with an ingenious way of rotating when everything is assembled.

Anyway, I managed in all the confusion to misplace the 82mm adapter. I emailed B&H support, told them I had misplaced it, asked how to get another one (just the part). That was on a Friday, and I know full well they are closed for Shabat on Saturday. So today, I get a reply from them, they're sending me the replacement part (which sells for $39) for FREE.

I can't believe these guys. I almost never buy from anyone else, anyway, but this really seals the deal for me.

I'll write a review of the filter holder sometime later after I've given it some use. It has one flaw that is between annoying and serious.

Thank you B&H!!!

B&H has excellent customer service, let's face it, customer service is what makes folks come back again and again regardless of the business.

B&H has always served my family and me well. If there was an issue they were quick to respond and act accordingly to ensure we were always satisfied and happy. As others have stated, without exceptional customer service any business is bound to suffer if not fail and B&H's customer service, for me, has always gone above and beyond what was expected. They are the company I turn to when in need of photography equipment. I live in NY, about 90 miles north of the city, and whether ordering through the internet or driving to their store I consider having to pay the taxes on my purchases well worth the price of the service I receive.

Two more Pesos, I bought the 18-300 FF Nikon from B&H and used it a little over a month and regretted not going with 70-200 F2.8 so I contacted them about the "return" or exchange and they took the lens back and shipped me a new 70-200 even though the return period had been exceeded. I was very pleased with the way the transaction was handled. I have subsequently bought the 24-70 2.8 and I don't know how many "gadgets". I'm a loyal customer for life because I was treated well. Try that with 42nd or 47th or whatever the name is this week.

How did you contact them? By email?
Even good people make mistakes.
They certainly don't claim to be divine.
Please give them some grace.

I am very sorry. It is uncharacteristic for a customer's question to go unanswered. It does happen from time to time that we do not receive a customer's email or the customer does not receive our reply. If the question is still pertinent please send it to me. I will either answer it or get an answer to it for you.

So far I've had great service from B&H and UPS has been given us good service. The fact that B&H is closed Saturday for their religious observance is admirable, and I respect them for doing so.

I agree. I bought a new iPad from them and on the day that UPS was supposed to deliver the tracking info didn't say that it was out on the truck for delivery. In fact, the tracking hadn't been updated since the day it hit Memphis TN. So the next day I called B&H and told them about it and they told me they'd check into it. Two days later they said my claim had been approved and that they would resend my order the next day. I guess UPS is screwing up big time because I got the second order and UPS called me a few days later looking for the original lost package. B&H came through even though the first order was not found before re-sending my order. Bravo B&H. Also, I bought a printer from B&H about 3 weeks before this, and when UPS delivered it, the box was very much destroyed. I took pictures of the box and made the UPS guy note the damage before he left. I carefully documented everything while opening it but luckily the printer was fine. That's my Canon Pro-1000 that costs $1299. But another case of UPS screwing up - which has nothing to do with B&H other than maybe they should start using DHL or FedX exclusively instead of UPS.

I don't necessarily have a problem with UPS. I've had horror stories about them, FedEx and especially the USPS. Our postman is a government employee and acts like everyone in the world owes him. Even his "backup" guys that do his work the 30 or 40 days of vacation that he gets say that they constantly hear complaints. I had an Express mail package from B&H that was sent and it got to Tampa (30 miles away maybe) from New York in 3 days, then it took 6 days from Tampa to Clearwater then was delivered (finally) in my mailbox. UPS and FedEx make mistakes too but not as often as the USPS. And I HATE the deal where B&H, Adorama and others send something FedEx or UPS and then when it gets to Tampa the carrier drops it in the USPS mail rather than delivering it themselves. I've had 3 packages that made it to the post office (according to tracking) then the post office miss delivered it. I didn't know it until the tracking said delivered and I hadn't gotten it. One package was several hundred dollars worth of filters. Fortunately, the person that received it in error, realized after opening it that it belonged to me and re-mailed it. In fairness to B&H and Adorama, when I notified them, they were prepared to refill and ship the package again and fortunately it wasn't needed but that was NO THANKS to the post office. They just said that I needed to contact FedEx or UPS...and of course FedEx and UPS pointed (justifiably) at the post office. From now on, I pay the "expedited shipping" to keep it under one carrier.

I have found the USPS most economical for the mailings that I do. Our local office is staffed with friendly, helpful people as well!
