..well, several actually. A composite from my holiday snaps, mostly Cornwall but a bit of Dorset and figures are from various places, but only my own shots.
I have tried to emulate an old painting in general style, so its purposely quite dark and won't suit everyone taste I know. Nevertheless, I would appreciate your thoughts on it.
Dave, I am one that loves the purposely quite dark processing, along with the overall color tone. I have observed this image several times and think you should be proud of your efforts. It does have the old painter look and feel to it along with a canvas look. This strikes my interest very much.
I would like to point out a couple of things you may already be aware of, but these are minor observations and not in no way intended to take anything away from your outstanding image. The ship out in the center I feel needs to be softened some, maybe a slight haze over top of the masts along with a slight reflection in the water with a touch of shadow. The gentleman walking away with his back to us needs to be grounded, I don't see a shadow at his feet. The same with the two gentlemen pulling the boat out of the water. Those are my observations of areas I think needs just a little more work, but over all an excellent composite that I like very much.
