Is this another Nikon thing?? Their conversations always involve terms obscure to the rest of us.

Therein lays the beauty of cross platform users, we get to play in the best of multiple worlds and poses a broader understanding of hardware in general plus, for the most part, are not fanboys to any one manufacturer.
Bottom line, I like my Canon gear and my Nikon gear and my Sony gear and wish I could afford some other manufacturers gear. There be a lot of nice stuff out there...

When you do rejoin, please try to be courteous and read and understand the thread before commenting. The other "clubs" would probably appreciate it as well.

I did read and reread multiple times before my first post; there was absolutely nothing to indicate that the subject was Nikon.

Sony, MFT, etc identify themselves at the start; conversations between Nikon users are the only ones using unfamiliar terminology.

You ARE joking right??? Obviously.

Again, if you have no clue what a post is about, why do you feel compelled to comment? Maybe just "watch" a thread and learn sometime.

Re-read the whole post slowly and hopefully that will help.

"Hopefully" is right.

I'm simply asking that Nikon users be courteous to the rest of us and identify this as a Nikon issue.

Agreed. And it's not just Nikon users.
There are a lot of posts that don't mention the brand, only referring to, say, a MK III, D60 (both Canon & Nikon had one), D7000, DMC-GX85, RX 100, etc, etc.
People need to remember there are some users here who aren't mind readers.

If there is a post and I don't know the brand or recognize the jargon, I figure that it doesn't apply to me and I move on. No muss, no fuss.

I just open the thread & if I don't care to respond or if it's something I can't answer, I simply move on with no posting... No problem...

It is hard to gain a broader understanding of what is out there if the "in crowd" won't tell the rest of us what they're talking about.

Particularly when you are unable to follow a thread, as has been accurately pointed out.
