I added up the funds offered to me in one month by kind folks from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan, Russia and countless other places, represented by ministers, government officials, widows, etc. By being cautious I have missed out on $375,550,000! Stupid me...

Same here and it is looking pretty dim because I only answer calls that I recognize. I still have a chance due to the spoofing method being used to show the caller ID as a local call. Maybe our legislators will spend more time to pass another relatively unenforceable law in lieu of conducting undone business like state budgets and the like. The No-Call list is a great example.

A guy in Florida was just arrested two weeks ago - said to be behind many of the scam calls doctored to appear local. The initial message would say it was from the Hilton, etc., but then would move you on to scammers in Mexico. My phone is from when I lived in Maine, so it was pretty funny to get phone calls from "The Hilton" that supposedly originated in Machias, Maine - a long, long, way from any Hilton...

Yes, they are clever, and they prey on the gullible.
