A couple of Cooper Hawks have been hanging out by our pool recently, second year they have come visiting. Seems to be a breeding pair with jr in tow.
They don't seem particularly skittish , you can get quite close before they just back away a bit.
Fantastic captures, Steve and thankfully the squirrel didn't get caught!!
Looks like it was a bit windy with the way his feathers are blowing. Great shots!!

Beautiful shots, Steve, and I'm soooooooooooooo glad the squirrel escaped! I love those furry little critters!
