I took these after watering a planter of flowers...
Love the explosion of colors, Cathy!! All beautiful, and I'm especially drawn to the first with the reds and greens.
Water droplets and flowers go hand and hand and add in beautiful colors and bokeh and you have a soft dreamy lensbaby creation!!
Beautiful set, Cathy... I enjoyed them all!!!

This is the first time I've taken pictures of flowers with water droplets, Angela, something you do to great effect! And it's only because I had just watered them. lol! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment and thumb.

Here's a little tip.... bring a small misting bottle of water with you when you go on your walks, instant drops!!

My walks are put on hold for now. It's too darn suffocating outside. Yesterday, the temp rose to 102 - very hot for us - and today to 98. I don't "do" heat! lol! If I go on a walk, I'll probably be misting myself! lol!

UGH!!!! I don't blame you one bit... I don't do heat well either, when it's hot and humid, I start feel so tired, like being drugged!!

Sis, an excellent series.

Simply gorgeous, Cathy! I love how the colors pop against the dreamy backgrounds. The water droplets are a great touch too. My favorite is the first one too. There's just something about that beautiful red against the warm green!
With all of your lenses and optics you could keep us entertained for days. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful colors Cathy. I especially like the last shot. And I love what a bit of water does for richness. We have had heavy rains almost everyday this summer and the flowers are just waterlogged to the point of suffering. Does anyone know if you can attach a polarizer lens to Lensbabys. Would be a good thing for sure. Cathy, how do you feel about gentle suggestions to be taken or not? I myself welcome input and would say to all, please do on my posts. I will consider all, though I may not always apply. I want to improve.

Sandy, I always welcome input. There is so much to learn. I do post pictures that aren't very good because they may show off some effects that our fellow Lensbaby lovers might want to see. I love to see what can be achieved with different lens/optics combinations. Like you, I want to improve.
You can attached a polarizer to Lensbabies. Search on eBay for the size you need. There are 56mm filters on there that will fit the Velvet 56, and there are filters that will fit our 37mm optics too.
Thank you for your lovely comment!

Gosh, Kathy. I always enjoy your photos. It would be good if we all posted photos we have a problem with so that we could find out what to do in same situation in future. Ex. as Donna was having trouble with too much light on screen during the day. What can we can do about that, etc. Was asking about section as a whole-was this to be part of it. And if so, I was wanting to say that I thought bringing down highlights slightly would be good as far as water drops. Especially if we could not attach CPL's since we all love and use water as accent. Today is a busy one and I may not have time to shoot and post. And since rain is forecast once more, I may pick up bouquet from grocery just to practice. Hope you are able to get out. Will check in later. Sandy
