Now this is my kind of B&W. Perfect contrast without blown out highlights and over saturated blacks. Could be best picture of the month. Beautiful B&W with sharp focus, great composition, very interesting subject matter and camera position that not to many would try or get to. Congratulations on a job well done. Jim
Thanks Frank, I'm always trying to fill the frame on the 11-16mm lens. A whole lot of nothing is a whole lot of nothing. If your lucky you find scenes like this that just fall into place.

Nice shot. I think it works well in B&W looks like you were thinking outside the box when you captured this image.
I'm impressed. I have spent a lot off time on that bridge taking shots from almost exactly where you are. I never thought, though, of leaning over the grating to get that particular perspective. I think it really works. I also really like your processing. There just isn't anything about this shot that I don't like. Really super job. Erich
Thanks Erich for the kind words. I got to visit New York for the second time and made plans to visit the bridge. Not in my plans was visiting with my oldest son. His first visit to New York and he felt he must see it all. I could have spent the entire day watching the light fall across the bridge from different angles as the sun rose and fell. I was lucky to have some clouds slowly building as we approached the bridge from Manhattan. It wasn't until we past the mid point and I turned around facing back towards the city, that I was able to see the bridge and city in almost the perfect light. Nothing like Good Light. From mid point to Brooklyn I had maybe 45 minutes to get my shots and to keep my son happy. This was my second trip to New York with my loved ones and I have to confess, I will return again but all by myself. For Goodness sake you Never walk away from Good Light....Guess I'm selfish when it comes to my Alone time with the camera...If I could just run away from home, with my camera..

I can sense your excitement about your trip to NYC. I'm fortunate in that I live only about 70 miles from the city and get a chance to go quite often. Many times I go with my wife; and on those occasions, she is my primary concern. I'll take photos if they present themselves; but I try not to be too self absorbed about it. Other times I will go by myself. I usually leave real early on a Sunday morning if I want to do that. Then I can go to the locations I want to photograph and be there in good light. Do you have other photos from your trip. I'd love to see them. Erich
I concur with what everyone has said, especially JimPop's comments word for word. An excellent image that most, if not all would like to call their own. I'm amazed at the point of view and just curious on how you were able to obtain such an angle? A job well done in my opinion. Dave
