No problem with Studio except that this ol' dog prefers to do my old tricks. Studio works fine on my Kick-Fanny self-constructed desk top. Computers are often neglected vs another lens.
Laptop... great for email and some other things...hummm.... graphics card on board mobo, and memory minimal. Ouch, when I googled your "Lenovo Win10 64bit, Intel 4000 graphic" lots of driver problems and complaints... so, the finger should be pointed at your laptop, not studio.
How about a laptop with the following specs:
15.6" IPS display
i7 7000K (for overclocking)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU with 6GB GDDR5 Video Memory
4 drive bays/slots - two m.2 and two SATA III
4 memory slots for up to 64 GB ram.
Mind you, this is not an Alienware laptop. But there are two classes of laptops that are similar - mobile engineering workstation and gaming.
https://www.sagernotebook.com/customize.php?productid=1316There is no question that this kick fanny system could easily show yours a thing or two. Similar systems are available from HP, Lenovo, ASUS and others, but they will cost.
I think you may want to get out of the 90s and understand what's available before you make absurd sweeping generalizations about laptops.
I am sure things work for you very well, but you are a bit of an "odd-duck." What works for you may not work for many others. Making the assumption that our needs are no different than yours will throw your credibility into the trash can. But don't let me stop you, after all, it's just my opinion, right?
BTW, you are on the right track with graphics card drivers, shared memory and other configurational matters. Open GL support and insufficient memory plagues many computers.
