I have not taken may pictures lately and I have missed it . Trying to get back into doing more photography. Here are a few I took last week on our vacation.

Oh how nice!! Beautiful!! Makes my wife and I homesick for that area! We had our Honey moon in the Smokies in 1979 and have been back there 10 or 12 times since then. Many good memories in that area - Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee, Cade's Cove and Blueridge Parkway!! One year we went down there and stayed all night in the Cherokee area and the next morning got up and hit the Parkway and traveled over a 100 miles north. We came off the Parkway and found a Motel late in the evening, tired and weary from stopping at all the scenic overlooks and taking pictures! I opened the car trunk and lo and behold, we had left our clothes back at the Motel room a 100 miles back! We finished traveling the rest of the whole 465 mile length of the Blueridge Parkway till it ended in Virginia. We were gone two weeks and all the pictures we had taken, we were wearing only two different sets of clothes, the ones we had on and a set my wife had laid out on top of the suit case! So needless to say, we had to stop and find Laundromats along the way to wash our same 2 sets of clothes every other day!! We had called the Acorn Motel and told the man to mail our clothes to our home in Ashland Ky, and when we got back two weeks later our clothes were waiting for us in a big box he had mailed that my Father-in-law had picked up!! That was back in the good ole days, lot's of good memories that we cherish and laugh about! That is my favorite place to Vacation! Life is what you make out of it, so enjoy it - God Bless!!! I have stacks and stacks of photo albums, thousands of pics till the digital technology took over!!

We are blessed to have beautiful beaches and mountains in NC. I love them both, the mountains always seem so peaceful. I have many wonderful memories spent together as a family
vacationing in this area when our boys were growing up. As retirees my husband and I still go there every chance we get.

Ohhh, how beautiful, Bizzy! What I wouldn't give to be sitting in one of those rockers on the front porch! What a view!
