I took a pic of a street in Boston. It was a little bit overexposed. So I decided to increase exposure even more in PS to create an image of a vanishing street . Then converted it into BW leaving the "Do not enter" sign red.

I like it. Just shows why we shouldn't always delete image which do not have perfect exposure or composition.

And the people captured walking into the light.
What will become of them?
Why are they going?

Haunting.

Like it a lot. Deliberate overexposure (and under depending on the subject) can have greater impact than keeping the histogram perfect. One of the reasons it pays to ignore the histogram that homogenizes shots to an iPhone monotony.

I don't mean to be morbid, but this reminds me of a scene in "Schindler's List," where a girl in a red dress walks through a black-and-white scene.
