OP/TECH USA Dual Harness - Or Sling - Similar?

If you have used this or similar, I'd appreciate hearing your pros & cons. I'm considering purchasing one. I wish to carry 7D MII and 5D MIII with L lenses mounted. Is the weight distributed to shoulders rather than neck? Do the cameras rest comfortably, without swinging? I usually carry both cameras with their Canon straps, however, it is very cumbersome, heavy and the cameras slip off my shoulders. (Dangerous!! I guess I need broader shoulders? )
Thank you for taking the time to offer feedback.

I use the double harness & it works great for me. There is some swing to contend with but not too bad. You do have to be careful when kneeling because long lenses can touch the ground.

Thank you. That's the helpful type feedback I was seeking. Do you have the regular or extra long? I'm 5'9, 155lbs. 80 yrs. old.

Look at Holdfast Gear. Expensive, but worth a look.

Thanks. I did - too expensive, but I do understand leather costs.

I actually have used both, and prefer the double sling. It's not that one is better than the other, because both work well. For me, the sling is more versatile than the harness because it can quickly be reconfigured into 2 single slings while the harness is just a harness.

Yes, the harness just feels more confined than the sling style to me. I suppose it's the chest strap of the harness that causes that feeling.

But both work equally well and neither one puts any pressure or weight on your neck. Both evenly distribute the weight across the shoulders and cameras.

Been using one for years without difficulty. It also works very nicely if you only have one camera with you - hang down either side as well as the front.

I have one or the other, but I can never remember the name without looking it up. First, I got the one with the strap across the chest. I didn't like that at all. Now I have the one with the two shoulder straps - excellent! Of course, they will swing as you walk, but that's why you also have a hand on each side of your body. The straps remain securely on your shoulders since they are connected by the strap across your back.

Mine is the double sling. Tele on the right and W/A on the left. Very convenient.

Mark, I own the dual harness and love it. I bought the Dual Harness, https://optechusa.com/dual-harness.html and a two sets of extra disconnects. I have the quick disconnects on my neck strap, which are compatible with the dual harness. So in about a minute, I can either have the neck strap attached, of the dual harness. Very convenient, you can contact MT Shooter, who is a OP/TECH rep. Gary

The other option you have with the harness is to connect one camera to both sides of the harness. You have the advantage of a sling, but it helps distribute the weight. The camera stay more stable, and does not swing. I use this technique with my 7d and 100-400L.

My friend and I both use the single sling version from OP/TECH and we both like it. The sling is pretty much set up for a right-handed person with the sling going over your left shoulder and the camera against your right hip. In that configuration, the camera easily slides up to eye level. I use two attachment straps on each of the camera's neck strap mounts and it holds the camera nice and steady, lens pointed out. He had to finagle it a bit as he wanted the opposite with his camera on his left side. I only carry a single camera but if I were carrying two, the dual harness would be my choice.
