Running Out of Storage on your Laptop ?

is this for newer laptops or can you use this for a older laptop to

It should work on any laptop which has a DVD drive which you don't use any more or use very rarely.

Just use the USB port buy a 256gb usb3 thumb drive and connect it, when you need to access it. You will still have your optical drive and you won't have to perform major surgery on your laptop.

It's hardly major surgery, my just pulls out and the and the HDD caddy can be bought for £6, so if you have a spare HDD the total cost would only be £6.
A cheap 250 gb thumb drive costs around £60 here in the UK, no contest !!

Clever. I thought of doing that, but I don't need the storage, and I want to keep my optical drive.

I have a plug-in USB drive that I can use, too. Very handy.
