Another thing I do is carry two cake knifes ..one for bride and one for groom . always put them on the right of the cake as you look at it , bride in front of the groom and put the knifes in there left hands .With correct adjustment makes a really good close up of the rings and after they can have a knife fight !!!
\how many of you are taking a large piece of artificial grass so you can lay B + G on the ground without dirtying the dress ???
I'd like to see an example of what you are talking about with the knives.
As for the fake grass. I would consider it in some circumstances, but it would have to be super realistic, and pretty large. I keep envisioning the "grass" in the yard of the Brady Bunch. Remember the green carpet? I do know that I've seen some more realistic grass, but it's super expensive. What I've done is carry a large white sheet, let the bride step onto it, lay down, then my assistant and a bridesmaid "tucked the sheet around her, and it wasn't noticeable at all.
Only did that once, it looked awesome, but I'm not sure the bride really enjoyed laying down and getting up in a tightly fitted dress, with the whole wedding party standing around. She didn't object, but I could tell by her face that it wasn't her favorite thing in the world to do.
You can see the grass/ cake knifes is here
www.1and1photography.co.uk if they are sitting on the grass its artificial.

That fake grass is what I'm talking about for realistic. I've only seen that realistic of grass for sale once here locally, and it cost a fortune in my area.
Everyone is replacing there real grass lawns with it in the UK ..about $15 or less per sq yard.
You buy it at the carpet store ….you will need to photoshop the edges...did one wedding where the summer grass had dried up ..put by a green hedge and did the small groups on it ….
