This site is currently part of the Dragonfly Society of the Americas organization. It was started by founding member and Dr. John Abbott when he was at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Abbott is now at the University of Alabama but the servers are still maintained at UT. The DSA conducts a national meeting every year (recently in Staunton, VA) that rotates through the country. There are regional meetings also at different times of the year. The meetings are surveys of the area in which they are held.
