Took a road trip over the weekend to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. One of the stops was Lukenbach,Texas which the late Waylon Jennings immortalized in the song of the same name.
Every Fathers Day the Diabetes Association has a fund raiser in honor of Mr Jennings,who died of complications of diabetes.
A great way to honor his memory and raise some money for a very worthy cause.
Worth a stop if you are ever in that part of Texas!

A friend of mine wrote the song. Lives right here in my hometown. I've played many rounds of golf with him. His name is Chips Moman and is a humble man. He also wrote for Elvis and B.J. Thomas's "Somebody's done Somebody wrong song" among many others you would know.
