Who are you and what do you do with the photos we submit. If we cannot have our name recognized then how do we know you ae not going to take credit for a photo of our???
I agree! Who does receive credit?

If it come down to it you will have the original on your camera and can prove this. I think this excercise is meant to be a bit of fun and not some scam to rip off our images. The host has made things fair by using anonymity for the judging purposes only. They also have gone to the correct channels to get it approved by the board and to get the upload folder setup. Something that you or I could not do on our own. It all looks good to me, I think we are safe. Im sure anybody would kick up a hell of a stink on here if their images were getting ripped off.
Besides have you ever read some of the terms and cons for photography magazine competitions? You are basically shooting for them and they can do with your image what they please even for their financial gain. You do not have to get credit for them at all and they can run your image on a billboard or the side of a bus for a ad campain if they wanted.
Also nobody is forcing you to enter!
One way to apply credit where it is due would be after the judging is complete and maybe 1st, 2nd and 3rd or the top 10 pics are posted so everybody can see and the shooter then has to upload their original to another thread to claim ownership or credit. This way their name and avitar would appear by the side of their image the second time.
Have there been any similar competitions on here before? Maybe if somebody could explain how they were run and kindly post a link to them it would put some peoples minds at rest.

Thank You mafadecay for coming to my defense there. You are not a dunce. There's a lot to take in here and sometimes we miss things. It is ok, but I am glad that you now know where you can find them at it will make things easier.
Usaellie, like my tag line says I'm Robin and I'm just a girl trying to find my place in this world. I do nothing with the images and right now I have no idea who submitted them. If you look at the Wildlife contest I hosted a couple of months ago you can plainly see that I did give credit to the winners of the contest. After the contest is over I show the vote count and who entered the photos. No watermarks were allowed in that contest either. Also the Wildlife contest had 155 entries when it was first over; now it is down to 153. Why? Because you are allowed to remove your photo from the contest at any time even once it is over.(This is the only place where you can go back in months later and remove a picture. You can't do that on the threads where you post photos.) I have done this myself when some of the other contests before I started hosting.
All that stuff now being said let me say this. If you don't like the fact that I don't allow watermarks then you don't have to enter my contest. Plain and simple. I'm sorry you can't trust a fellow member here who has sought permission from Admin to do a contest enough to know that they won't steal your pictures.(I wouldn't dream of taking anyone else's pictures here because even though I admire so many photographers here I want to become a great photographer like them not steal their work. I also don't want to pay a hefty fine and possibly spend time in jail for taking something that's not mine. I was raised better than that.)

Tea8,
I said I would participate in the contest, but I'm about to leave town and doubt I'll be able to do this before or after I return. Next time. Good luck on the contest!
No watermarks allowed?
Does that mean we can't include sinks or faucets in our kitchen photos? Even my countertop is watermarked.
