I saw this Canon 350D in a pawnshop today. It looked to be in fair shape and might be a reasonable backup for my 60D. I've searched and could not find much info on it. I plan to go back with my laptop and a lens and check it out thoroughly.
Anyone familiar with this model? I didn't take the time to download the manual from the Web and thought that maybe someone here could tell me if I can make an exposure and download it w.o. a CF card. They are asking $150.00. I didn't ask, but since it did not have a body cap or lens (not a good sign, I know), I assume it also lacks a charger. It did power up o.k. Apparently you cannot compose using the LCD screen with this model - it's only for viewing your pic after the shot. What I do not want to do is buy a charger and a CF card only to determine that it is flawed or inoperable.
If it does work, I would offer $100.00 or less, since I have an Ebay printout of a similar camera that does include a lens and charger for $120.00.
What I'd like is helpful tips from owners of the 350D on what to look for specifically in evaluating this model.
Thanks!
The EOS 350D is the same as the EOS Rebel XT (North America) and the EOS KISS Digital N (Japan).

It's like Nikon's "N" series of consumer/prosumer film bodies: My N90S is the US or NA version of the F90X.

Yes, I knew that and already have a print-out of the link you supplied.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your help.
