Many kind UHH members noted the variety of landscapes and life forms in a set I posted last week. Being still new to UHH forgive me if there is a protocol against this, but thought they might like to see even more variety from the Galapagos Islands.

All pics were taken with Canon T3, except penguins which was a Nikon Coolpix AW100 (waterproof).

nice...I can relate having done three dive trips to the Galapagos...especially Wolf and Darwin....the best dives of my 50+ years of diving...gotta love the hammerheads and whale sharks....and of course the land excursions were exceptional as well. A real bucket list trip that I [mistakenly] told my wife was a "once in a lifetime" trip....had to walk that back after trip number one!!!

Thanks so much Dkmccp. Can't say I saw any hammerheads or whale sharks, but saw white-tipped sharks and sea lions aplenty. I also like seeing the flightless cormorants diving underwater! Don't think we were at Wolf or Darwin, so I could go back for a "once in a lifetime" to those islands!

the white tips are great....I've seen and photographed them in other places as well. My screen saver is a photo of one I took in the Socorro islands. No point in going to Wolf or Darwin if you're not a diver since you can't go onto these two islands...but the Arch at Darwin is some sight to behold....worth googling to see it....

Your photos bring back some real special memories for me....

Great shots! I am so in "awe" of the wildlife of our planet! Amazing creatures and all so beautiful, as well as the landscapes. Thanks for sharing them

I take it you've been there. Yes, they are wonderful and worth the effort (and expense) of getting there.
