Very nice catch. It definitely is a type of Killdeer but which variety i do not know. I am pretty sure it is a Golfballdeer though from its apparent location

Killdeer are a lot of fun to watch when they think their nest is threatened. They act like they are about dead trying to lure you away from their nest.

Good shot.. I've seen kildeer make their nests out in the open, driveways, streets, golf greens........... but they do defend their nests!!! Our neighbor put a road cone next to the nest, so people wouldn't miss seeing them..
