Cinematic Styles using a drone

I took some notes as I watched a good video on how to make your video from a drone look professional. Here are some notes that I took:

Unveiling Shot
Powerful opener - start low and slowly rise up. Use a foreground up close and rise up slowly to reveal the background subject. This produces great tension as you rise up

Look-Up Shot
Another powerful opener - start with the camera pointing all the way down and while flying the drone forwards or backwards slowly point the camera up

Pullback Shot
Simply fly backwards close to the ground or object while taking video. Be careful many drones do not have back up collision avoidance sensors i.e. Mavic Pro drone.

Head Over Shot
a) Point the camera down over a subject and slowly raise the drone and slowly rotate right or left.
b) Point camera down and follow in a straight line slowly. Go forward or backward for a great affect.

Cam Crane Shot
Slowly raise the drone up while slowly pointing camera down

Course Lock Shot
Fly in a straight line while rotating the drone and camera as it passes the subject keeping subject in the center of the frame.

Slider Shot
Fly slow and close to the foreground like on a dolly - you can raise in altitude if you like or stay low and level.

Tripod Shot
Hover and slowly rotate the drone

I hope to try these as soon as I buy a ND filter to fit my drones camera. To get smooth video with any camera, it's best to use a shutter speed of double the frame rate. So if your shooting 4k at 24fps, you should use a shutter speed of 1/50th for nice smooth video. 4k at 30fps, use 1/60th of a second. This goes for any resolution you use. But to get the shutter that slow on a bright day, a 4-5 stop ND filter is needed.
