Dear BamaTexan, looks like you're off to a good start. It's difficult to photograph BIF when they're so close to the ground and all the clutter there. You might try cropping the photos a bit and letting the birds stand out more in the picture. Good start!!

Nice sharp, colorful shots. A super start. Birds aren't always where you want them and you can't always control the background or get closer. If you can, cropping your shots closer and opening your lens wider might help your birds to stand out.

bt...i'm impressed you got them with their wings spread and their feet off the ground.
good coming in for a landing shots. so far when i've tried it all i get is a big blur. lol.
