I'm part of a photo users group with my company, and I've learned a lot about where to put your pics. I know professionals who want to sell pics have specific ideas. I had used flicker for some time, but recently discoverd zenfolio. I'm interested in knowing where you post your pics to, if at all, and why or why not?

I use Dropbox and send the users a link.

As a non-professional, but a great aficionado for many years, I post mainly on Facebook (weekly banner updates), some here (but I'm mainly here to learn more and view), and my web site (I need to update that...). For me it's totally a hobby.

I don't really post photos for people to view online except for Facebook.
When I send photos to someone, I create a folder with the photos on my Dropbox account. I then do a "share" and it sends a link to the recipient.

Hi, I have used dropbox for many years and sent links when sharing but in the last few months have been using Hightail spaces to send links for images to share, I also post on 500px and use that link in my online quotes for prospective clients to view. And of course post to facebook often. in my photo share groups we created a free web site just for us to share and discuss. just some of the ways I post. Happy shooting.

I have used Zenfolio for several years but don't try to sell anything. I give my Zenfolio address to people and they are free to look and hopefully enjoy what they see.

I don't sell photos and only post on line for others to enjoy. I use Flickr® because I like the hierarchical organization possible as a paid subscriber: photos in Albums, Albums in Collections, Collections into higher Collections, etc. I have 40,000 pictures out there and any other organization would be impossible to navigate. My main page has about 50 high-level Collections on it, and folks select and drill down from there.

I've been posting images on pbase for years. Also started using zenfolio a while back. Have a few on flicker as well. Still haven't figured which one I like best.

Hi. I have used Zenfolio for 6 years now. I use its for my photography business and love it. Has done everything I needed it to do and more. They are just getting ready to change over to a new look and way that you use it. I think it is definitely for the better. Have had a couple of problems but they have taken care of them right away and hardly missed a beat. I think once you learn how to use it you will be very satisfied. I actually have at the moment almost 38,000 photos online with them. I really need to get rid of some of those though. Enjoy

Are you worried that with all that is going on at Yahoo, Flickr may change? I use them also and like Google no longer supporting Nik, breaking up Yahoo may result in Flickr changing or going away completely.

Mostly on the cork board or in a shoebox.

For digital; flickr and facebook.

Mostly I print wet prints so the digi side of things isn't my main focus....pretty good is good enough. (and free is good too)

Yes there is a fee. They are running a special right now for annual plans. $60-$240-$360. Depending on what you are going to do with your photos prices aren't that bad. I thought so at first ( I have used them for 5-6 years) but once I figured out how quickly I made my investment back it is fine!
Go online and check them out.

Yes, I am. Not only Flickr®, but also the ability to connect Yahoo! Mail® to my Outlook® account--I'm having difficulty with that right now. In the case of Flickr, there may be some consolation that it is generally considered by many to be the best hosting service out there and so it's capabilities will probably be retained, even if bought by someone else.

I've used Zenfolio for a little over two years and have been very happy with it. I shoot real estate photography professionally and have one site where clients can download their images, and potential clients can see samples of my work. I have a second site that I use for fine art photography and for posting large numbers of photos for family and friends. I haven't seen the new look or changes yet, but so far have had no problems at all and would recommend it.
