Corel PaintShop Pro X9 has pink cast over Canon 80D RAW images

Excuse me if this isn't the appropriate forum for this topic as I'm a newbie. When I open a RAW (CR2) image in Corel PSP X9. I have a pink cast over the entire image. I've checked for updates and found none. Am I missing something in the settings/preferences or is this normal for the 80D RAW images in PSPX9? My old 50D's RAW images are fine. Thanks for any insight you can provide. Could it be a setting in my camera?

My earlier experience (several years ago) was that Corel was notoriously slow in bringing new RAW formats into their software. That was when I parted ways with Corel over Aftershot Pro and began using Lightroom.

I also use Corel PaintShop Pro X9 but do not have that problem I shooting raw with a Nikon but there should be no difference. When I bring up a Raw image there is no cast to it. Maybe it is a setting on your camera.

I can not directly answer your question, however you could download Rawtherapee which is a free RAW converter and interface to PSP. I find RT to be a much better RAW processor than the one in PSP. All other edits are done in PSP including using NIK filters. Link >>>> http://rawtherapee.com/

Thanks for the responses! Rawtherapee seems to be a good choice.

I'd contact Corel Customer Service, sounds like you need an upgrade on the Raw Converter, in the meantime you could use DIgital Photo P that came with your camera, Bob.

That problem is an indicator that your software does not support raw files from your camera. I guess Corel is very slow with updates since this is now far from a new camera.

Without seeing the photo we have no idea if it was your settings or something else. My first wild a** guess would be white balance. A picture is worth a 1,000.....

A generally pink caste is usually due to lack of raw support for a particular camera. I know of at least 4 software packages which do that to unsupported raw images.

I generally process my raw images in Aftershot Pro 3. When I am satisfied, I use PSP to do final editing.
