In the classified section, how can one look for a specific item without scrolling through all of the ads?

If you think you might want to come back to an ad and examine it in more detail, you can use the Bookmark tool at the top of the page. When you no longer need a particular bookmark, it can be easily removed.

On any page you can search for something by hitting CTRL-F, then input your search item.

Thanks, all, but these kind suggestions do not answer my question. Perhaps I did not phrase it well enough. If I wanted to search the classified for, for example, a canon sx50hs, WITHOUT going page by page, how could I do it?

Did you try the "search" feature? Under "Advanced options" you can limit the search to the classified ads. I got many hits searching for "sx50".
