For Sale: I have a Canon 135 1:3.5 Lens for any M39 camera. It came with a Leica IIIb (camera not for sale, so don't ask). Tested the lens with the Leica, found the lens made the camera hard to use. Condition of lens very good condition. Glass is very clean, none on the glass. Comes with leather carry case. $100.00. I live in Northern New York. Not Albany, Northern New York that border Canada. Just curious, what was it about this lens that made the Leica camera hard to use. Size? Weight? Focus function? With an f/3.5 aperture, it sounds fast enough to use for landscape or travel use.
Size relationship to camera it was too big and made handed the camera hard to do and it added weight to the camera. Now, that is just me.
135mm lenses are unwieldy on the typical vintage Leica LTM and M39 bodies. Very long... Best lenses for those vintage bodies are short wide angle to normal. Even a 90mm LTM is a bit twitchy to focus on a rangefinder. I had a Heckler LTM 135 for my Canon IIIF vintage Leica clone. It was worthless. Came with the camera. Could not sell it soon enough.
