I visited it a few days ago, but not for the first time. It has been several years however but it has not changed a bit.

Very appealing set of images. I think my favorite is the last one.

A few years ago I took a trip to Maine, I photographed on my own the first day and the second day I got together with a Pro photographer and did a sunrise to sunset photo shoot starting near Saco Maine. The lens that I used the most is a 12-24mm Pentax lens. A wide angle lens makes shooting a light house such as this one worth the price of the lense. The first two photos were taken at 12mm and the last of the Portland Light House at 17mm.

Great shots. If you plan to ever come up here again, check out a Facebook page called "Friends of New England Lighthouses."

Been there twice and hope to go a few more times. You actually managed to get some views that are actually unique - not easy to do at Pemaquid.

Really nice set! For those interested, some lighthouses are actually open to the public but at limited times. Often on the 4th of July (West Quoddy Head in Lubec many years in the past anyway). So check them out online before you go!

Thanks for looking and for the comments.

But I would add that if anyone goes to see the East Quoddy Lighthouse (and they have their passport with them) they should take the time to visit Campobello and drive up to the northernmost part of that Island. There they can see (but probably not actually visit) the Head Harbor Lighthouse. The Head Harbor Light is actually on a small island beyond the northern tip of Campobello so you would need a boat to get out there with a camera. Even then you would not likely be invited inside.

Really good shots with eye appeal and good foreground, color, detail, and contrasts.

Did that last summer. There's a lot of things worth seeing on that island.

Lighthouses are fun to shoot. A good subject loved by many. Great shots.
