A nine-year-old girl in Scotland began a writing project, a blog, in which she photographed and rated her school lunches. http://neverseconds.blogspot.co.uk/ It was to be a fund raiser for meals for charity. When the school found out about this, they told her she could no longer take those pictures. Naturally, public opinion persuaded the headmaster to change his mind. The meal below got a rating of 2/10. This is a bit less than an American kid would expect for lunch - along with a 32 oz soda.

Isn't it amazing just utterly STUPID our educators are... Schooling certainly dosen't mean "common sense...

Since it's "common," there's no need to teach it, so it can be disregarded.

Maybe their embarrassment will help to serve better food. It's no wonder the kids waste so much of what is supposed to be food.

To some people this would be a snack and not a meal.

Apple strips covered with peanut butter brought from home would be far more nutritious.

Oh, wait.......... some schools don't allow kids to bring such things from home.

A universal issue I would think, which is why I homeschooled all three of my children. Oh, and common sense isn't all that common, LOL.

This is from Scotland, where they don't have as many child killers as we do.

I will be a bit nationalistic here. Shouldn't be but I will. In England the idea of a sandwich which costs no less than 5 Pounds, is a thin slab of span on white bread. So the meal pictured is probably considered rather good.

When Churchill was asked why the British conquered the world he replied: In search of a good meal!

There is tremendous variation in what, how, and how much people eat around the world. We've always had good meals in England, though.

I don't know where you got your information, but, for the record. I don't eat SPAM (for which you can thank the RAF), neither would I pay £5 for a sandwich!!!!
